Executive Summary
AAP KA Clinic is a Tertiary Consultation Charitable Clinic inaugurated in April 2022. AAP KA Clinic is the first purpose built charitable project of “Al Rafey Foundation”. Incorporated under section 42 of the companies Act, 2017 (XIX of 2017) under limited guarantee. AAP KA Clinic Hospital is recognized by Pakistan Health Commission (PHC), affiliated with PSIM (Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine). The Clinic is ISO 9001-2015 certified,
AAP KA Clinic provides expert consultation by leading physicians, lab investigations, radiology services, physiotherapy, and medicines to non-affording patients free of cost. The Clinic is situated on highly commercial area of Mozang road, in front of Sir Gangaram Hospital at 49 Justice Akram Road (Mozang Road) Lahore Punjab 54660, catering patient from around 1787 villages with a population of more than 11.13 million in the vicinity and from all over Lahore.

The various departments of AAP KA Clinic are managed by qualified and talented group of multi- specialty healthcare providers and teams of experienced doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff. Each member of the healthcare team strives his/her best to meet the patients’ individual medical needs, while taking care of their emotional needs as well.

This initiative was born from the aspiration to break down healthcare barriers, transcending financial constraints and access limitations. My journey has been one of continuous learning and growth. Holding group discussions and annual seminars on zakat exemplifies my commitment to understanding and spreading awareness. Through this pursuit, I came to recognize that my property, now known as Al Rafay, was not merely an asset but a channel for fulfilling my spiritual duty through healthcare
provision.
The culmination of this vision took shape in the establishment of Al Rafay Foundation and AapkaClinic. To further motivate our consultants and expand their valuable contributions beyond medical expertise, we introduced an innovative model. This model converts consultants' dedicated clinic hours into zakat contributions. This approach not only acknowledges their expertise but also ingrains the spirit of generosity within our healthcare framework. This strategy optimizes the utilization of senior consultants' proficiency, empowers deserving patients to receive prompt, quality care, and nurtures a shared sense of purpose among medical professionals.

The need for Aapka clinic stems from the pressing imperative to address healthcare inequalities persisting in our society. While advancements in medical science continue, a significant portion of the population remains unable to access essential specialized medical services due to financial barriers. These barriers lead to delayed diagnoses, inadequate treatments, and ultimately poorer health outcomes for those who can least afford it. This understanding ignited an unwavering resolve within me to ensure my zakat and Sadaqat were dedicated to a noble cause. The foundation, by Allah's will, was established with an unswerving dedication to providing superior healthcare to the underprivileged, a purpose that resonates deeply with my spiritual journey.
The conceptualization of the clinic was rooted in meticulous planning, characterized by collaborations with prominent healthcare professionals and the establishment of technologically advanced infrastructure. The sustainable framework took shape through the voluntary contributions of esteemed consultants, complemented by strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, yielding profound implications.
Guided by my experience as a practicing medical doctor, I recognized the challenges plaguing public sector tertiary hospitals – overcrowded OPDs and limited access to senior consultants. Rather than attributing these challenges solely to senior consultants, I realized that the underlying issue was the absence of a systematic filtration process. To address this, junior doctors could play a crucial role by screening patients and referring those requiring specialized care to senior consultants.

Engaging the local community is a cornerstone of our journey in conceptualizing and opening the free tertiary clinic. Community input played an integral role in shaping services. From the outset, we implemented a comprehensive community engagement strategy aimed at ensuring that the clinic truly reflects the needs and aspirations of the people it serves.
